Crochet, Knitting, Kumihimo, Macrame, & Other Fiber Techniques Projects

My first love in crafts was working with fibers. I majored in Textile Design in college at Rhode Island School of Design, and I later worked with hand weavers while I was in the Peace Corps in El Salvador. Since then, I have turned my attention and passion towards making jewelry, but the influence of my fibers background has remained strong.

Some of my favorite techniques for making jewelry are those which are inspired by fiber crafts. Macrame, netting, crochet and knitting are some examples of this. Some of these techniques are worked in actual fibers, and others substitute wire "fiber" for cloth. Below is a list of projects I teach that utilize these techniques.
